The latest WWE, WWF and NXT news, including the Greatest Royal Rumble, all in one handy podcast. The Undertaker rises above the latest crop of WWE Superstars while Titus O’Neil falls heads over heels for the ring!
In this episode we look at how NXT reminds us of what WWE used to be. Full of characters, great storylines, and great wrestling skills in the ring. Velveteen Dream and Ricochet create some amazing matches right now. How many superstars have made it from NXT to the main roster, like Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe. Neil learns about Bobby Roode and his legacy, as well his memorable entrance music which we compare to Ric Flair’s entrances.
Vince McMahon doesn’t appreciate NXT, but Triple H is doing his best to push NXT Superstars and is trying to grow the brand. A lot of WWE fans are looking forward to Triple H taking over when Vince retires.
We look at the feud between Nakamura and AJ Styles, and why it was necessary to turn Nakamura heel, to give him a chance to take the belt and be a good heel champion. Neil still isn’t sold on AJ Styles, and much prefers Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Is EC3 the new Ted Dibiase? We Discuss that WWE needs more polarised characters, clear heels and face wrestlers, that the fans can cheer for and boo. Gimmicks need to come back to help save kayfabe!
Filip is slowly dragging Neil back into the world of wrestling today, but both agree that new superstars need to be pushed. It seems like our very own in-house Greatest Royal Rumble! Goldberg came back on a nostalgia trip, and new promising stars were ignored. WWE hasn’t handled Dolph Ziggler, who was seen as the new Shaw Michaels regarding skill and character work.
We talk about The Greatest Royal Rumble, The Undertaker and Titus O’Neil tripping and falling under the ring.
Is the Miz any good, or just annoying and if this is the Greatest Royal Rumble, has there ever been one which wasn’t a Greatest Royal Rumble? A poorest Royal Rumble? A second best Greatest Royal Rumble? A bottom of the pile Greatest Royal Rumble?
This sort of stuff keeps us awake at night.
