What games in your Steam catalogue embarrass you most? Godus, WWF Raw, No Man’s Sky or Infection New Z? No? Well, these games reside in the teams Steam catalogues, and they have spent way too much time playing them.
Terrible games make gaming what it is. It puts hair on your chest and robs it from your head as you wonder what the hell you spent your money on.
It can’t be a surprise that Neil fell into one of Peter Molyneux’s well-positioned traps by buying Godus, hoping this time the man could deliver on his promises. Early indications were mixed, and Neil discusses why he stuck with the game for much longer than he should have.
Filip managed to fall for WWF marketing and bought WWF RAW! Bugs and terrible gameplay ahoy! The graphics weren’t even that good either, but we will let Filip guide you through his experience of the game.
Being sucker punched is something Neil seems to be adept at. His final selection is No Man’s Sky, but this is a real mixed bag for him. He has managed to spend hours on the game, and we can’t forget it was an indie game that PlayStation put a lot of weight behind.
Who can forget Sean Murray pushing features in the game that now, 3 years later, are finally being delivered? And this is where we are conflicted. After all, the devs are now delivering their promises. Yes, they are late, but they are delivering them none-the-less.
Filip’s final nomination was Infestation New Z, a free to play game with little in the way of redeeming features to save it from his shit-list.
What games are you ashamed of owning? Do you own games that everyone else hates but you secretly love playing?

As an after thought, Steam can have many other meanings apart from the company Steam.
On a cold morning Steam is what rises from a dogs deposits, and can often be used to describe someone who is annoyed, ie, he had Steam coming out his ears, and this of course could describe the owner of the dog who had just dropped a steamer on a ‘do not foul’ area of the local park.
A steamer could be the actual deposit or indeed a colloquial name for some someone in Scotland who is paralytic drunk, who also may be described as steaming.
To the tune of Monty Python’s Spam Song, altogether now…
Stream steam steam steam,
Steam steam steam steam.
We had steam last night, steam the night before
We’re gonna have steam tonight
As if we’d never had it before……
