‘The Incredibles 2’, ‘Knightfall’, ‘CHiPs’, ‘Good Girls’ and ‘OITNB’ are just some of the movie and TV reviews the podcast crew are reviewing this week. The What to Watch podcast reviews movie and TV that goes from trending (The Incredibles 2) to downright dire (CHiPs). From Netflix to The History Channel to VHS tapes. We’ve got you covered!
We’ve waited 15 years for ‘The Incredibles 2’ to make it onto our screens again and Cassie rushed over to the cinema to review the Pixar family adventure. Aside from Elastigirl putting Beyoncé to shame; the highlights of the film seem to be everything baby Jack-Jack! So, Who is the Mysterious new character Winston Deavor? Does it live up to our expectations? Why does Mr. Incredible look like Banana man?
The History Channels ‘Knightfall’ triggered our own Mr Filip Djordjevic as we’ve had to wait 7 months after it had been released in the US. ‘Knightfall’ with its political intrigue around the Knights Templar and the crusades, this one is highly rated for the history buffs?
Netflix has some ridiculously good breakout shows and ‘Good Girls’ is high up on the list, the crime comedy-drama tv series starring Christina Hendricks, Mae Whitman and Retta follows the path of ‘Weeds’ of the Stepford mother being thrust into a life of crime. Does it deliver though?
CHiPs was a show about two police officers that ran from that from 1977 to 1983 and Dax Shepard decided to punish us all by deciding to produce it as a film and Neil’s review wasn’t selling the team on it and had us bursting out laughing and cringing at points. CHiPs 2017, I think it is safe to say is not the CHiPs Neil had hoped for. CHiPs was supposed to be a buddy action comedy, a la Lethal Weapon, but turned out to be more like a bag of cold CHiPs.
Filip has been watching ‘The Adventures of Captain Underpants’ – because a children’s novel about two kids turning an egg-headed headteacher into a superhero in underpants under hypnosis seems to be part and parcel of our podcasts. Still, it is much better than CHiPs.
