Ghost Recon Wildlands, NBA SK18, Hearthstone, Million Onion Hotel and Fortnite all go under the What Happens In Gaming microscope this week, as the team review and discuss the games in detail providing their opinions on them.
Filip is an avid basketball player, playing for his local team. As a result, he likes to play NBA 2K games, but this week he found out that the latest version of the game, 2K18, doesn’t meet his expectations. Stilted player development in career mode due to microtransactions and poor levelling up with rubber banding of players and their abilities evident throughout. Gameplay has also been tweaked and not for the better as Filip explains during his rant.
On the other hand, Neil has been playing Ghost Recon Wildlands, with the Predator DLC. The graphics, gameplay and story have all impressed so far. However, it seems like there is a lot of busy work, meaning the next big game to come along with toppling Ghost Recon Wildlands for the position of the go-to game.
Cassie has been playing Hearthstone attempting to move up the ranks to play in a bid to play more competitively, moving towards the eSports arena. The card game and the associated card building mechanic has taken the online gaming community by storm, or should that be Blizzard!
Million Onion Hotel for Android is also part of this weeks discussion, the game has a lot of depth and a decent enough story to keep you entertained. Million Onion Hotel makes you wonder if you have ever mastered it as you struggle to deal with the constant onslaught of attacking enemies and bosses.
Finally, the team discuss the Fortnite phenomenon and the cross-platform play that seems to elude many games despite the availability of the technology to cater for it.
Invisible Joe played Ghost Recon, but no one saw him doing it.
Check out the podcast below which has lots more than simply Ghost Recon. We promise.
